Love Save Japan, a group of local Japanese artists, teams with Bond and Justice, a Japanese NPO on the ground in the recovery process in Fukushima, to present a special photography exhibition at The Powerhouse Arena in DUMBO to raise awareness of the ongoing crisis in Northeastern Japan through photography. Guest speakers include Paul D. Miller (aka DJ Spooky) of Origin Magazine; Riki Ito, President of the New York Japanese American Lions Club, the sponsor of the event; Mariko Osanai, founder of Love Save Japan; and Ki-yo, a New York-based pop singer originally from Sendai in the Tohoku region. DJ Hard Hittin Harry of the Haitian All-Starz will provide the music while artists COPE2 and PESU – whose logo design for Love Save Japan adorns T-shirts and bags sold by J. Crew.
