Moved by Haiti’s Earthquake in 2010, Whitney decided to create an inspirational song that would reflect the strength and resilience of the Haitian people. A gospel singer at heart, she recalls being inspired by the spirit of the Haitian people and their faith in God, during the days immediately following the earthquake. “Bondye Bon” (God is Good) is a phrase that is commonly used in the Haitian culture and deeply rooted in the religious ideals of the people.
Simply entitled “Haiti”, this is a heartfelt collaboration with a poetic intro from CDP (Founder of Mangoes & Lemonade), a verse from vocalist/emcee Voice, a verse from rapper SES Da Great, and vocals from Singer/Songwriter/Producer Whitney Coleman.
(Special shout-out to Co-Producer SoulCinematik, and DiCarlo Productions (Rancho Cucamonga, CA) who mixed and mastered the song.)
January 12, 2010 is a day that we will never forget…Keep Haiti in your heart.
