Nadine Francis, coordinator of the Organization of Young Girls in Action (OJFA), took advantage of 8 years of the organization to review, explain the activities of the organization and give the perceptives of this latter.
"The objective of this meeting is to present the annual report and also the perspectives of the Organization of Young Girls in Action (OJFA). This year we have 500 beneficiaries in vocational training, they are 500 youth living in domesticity, who are orphaned, abandoned or vulnerable... They have between 12 and 25 years, these young girls learn tiling, electrical, plumbing, masonry, carpentry as well as the crafts and floral art..."
Nadine Francis noted that in terms of satisfaction "these 500 young people are happy," adding "that a graduation ceremony will be performed on June 17th, we will graduate them and we will send them on the way of the work."
Speaking of its partners, the coordinator indicate receiving support from PSI Haiti adding that the OJFA is sending 600 childrens to school each year with the support of the colleges of the zone who likes works done by the organization in the zone of Carrefour Feuilles.
The coordinator says proudly that "for us, the balance is positive because we have 500 young people who learn a trade, which are formed at the level of prevention. At the level of the children that we send to school and of the vocational training we have achieved our goals!" adding "we have sent to Venezuela 10 young girls of the community to study, and this free!".
"Our perspectives are that the OJFA can have its own local this year and that the organization can send abroad 25 youth to study" said Nadine François to conclude.
