The other two have receive a full financial support from their own university and/or sponsor. The handing over of the scholarships to will take place Friday, August 19, to the CFPR.
The arrival of these students was made possible thanks to the initiative "Solidarity University of the Caribbean", a collaborative effort between the CFPR and the Association of Private Colleges and Universities of Puerto Rico (ACUP). This initiative, set up after the earthquake of January 2010 allows young people of Haiti to continue their academic training. Earlier this year, three young Haitians, have begun studies at the PUCPR and to the Universidad Interamericana de Puerto Rico.
