A Saturday in Haiti: Poolside, Christmas Show & Quaint Dinner with Good Friends
On a beautiful Saturday in December we headed to Karibe in an attempt to get massages at the Spa. Upon descending the ballroom like stairs and looking at the inviting pool all thoughts of massages went out the window. The place is absolutely beautiful, after lunch we lounged in the sun and three hours later decided to go in pursuit of the Spa Walking around karibe is an exploration , from a Christmas show being performed at one end of the resort, to a tourism expo, there’s always something going on. When we finally found the spa, we were very impressed by its modern and zen like atmosphere. Unfortunately they were fully booked and a little rude. Our search for a spa continues…….
Later that evening we were pleasantly surprised by a little restaurant called Quartier Latin, we expected Spanish food but to our surprise the menu was more french. Quartier Latin did not disappoint, we had an escargot appetizer that was divine, so much so that we ordered two more orders for the table. The food was delicious! I would highly recommend this place for a quiet dinner, reconnecting with friends or relaxing in the outdoor garden.
